ALCON
rotors in 12.9 size feature industry leading machining
and material usage for superior performance. Featuring
dual vane pickup on each disc for increased effeciency
as well as dual heat treatment for increased perofrmance.
In addition, each rotor is balanced and tested
prior to completion.
Motul 5.1 brake fluid is supplied
with each brake kit. This product is fully synthetic,
exceeds DOT 4 and DOT 3 fluids, is specifically
designed for ABS equipped cars, and is engineered
for extended usage periods. This provides a wet
boiling point of 365 F.
Motul RBF600 brake fluid is optional
with each brake kit (or by itself). This product
has an elevated wet boiling point of 420 F and
a dry boiling point of 593 F. This provides effective
braking under more extreme conditions.
ALCON's monobloc cross-bridged
casting provides superior caliper performance
over open monobloc castings, and cross briged
two-piece castings through minimal caliper compliance.
This enhanced manufacturing translates to superior
pedal feel and brake control.
Ultra-high resilance piston seals minimize piston
retraction distance for neglible dead pedal travel.
Differential piston bores optimize pad wear and
movement by balancing forces with tempurature
gradients across the pad surface.
Optimal opposed piston sizing allows for OEM
piston matching for proper loading for the ABS
pump cycle rates.
Segmented cresent slots provide superior slot
efficiency by increasing pad grip levels. The
segmented pattern offers the advantages of a slotted
rotor, without the pedal feedback normally associated
with a single straight slot design.
Floating pin drive setup allows for proper expansion
during thermal loading thus reducing rotor warping.
Under repetitive high-load use, the rotor will
expand both on the radius and the width. A properly
designed floating system will compensate for the
necessary thermal expansion of the particular
rotor and hat combination. Machining tolerances
are essential in offering a package that does
not "run out of float".
